Meredith Lloyd-Evans

He graduated as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Cambridge UK. After 4 years as a veterinarian in Canada and England, he joined SmithKline Animal Health and became the Technical Director for UK, Ireland, Middle East and anglophone Africa and Co-ordinator for veterinary pharmaceutical product development Europe.

He was a Board Director of SmithKline Animal Health UK Ltd. Personal achievements during his time included the UK marketing approvals for the first live virus vaccines for cattle and horse pneumonia and the first vaccine for the control of canine parvovirus. Most of the products established by Meredith and his team are still sold by Pfizer Animal Health, who acquired SKAHP's business in 1995.

By 1985, however, he had moved on, joining the British Technology Group to focus on the process of recognising and developing life science innovations.

In BTG he was responsible for a portfolio of inventors, patents, projects and commercial licenses in biotechnology, biomaterials and animal health. He founded BioBridge®, of which he is Managing Director, in 1989. He was also one of the founding members of the Association of Veterinary Consultants and a founding partner of the Brussels-based agrifood consultancy Arcadia International®.

In 2003, he was a member of the UK's Science Mission to Japan on Tissue Engineering and in 2004 was an invited speaker on bioclusters at the 3rd Osong International Biotechnology Symposium, Korea. In November 2004 he was an invited delegate to the 1st Science & Technology in Society Forum, Kyoto, an international counterpart of the Davos World Economic Forum, contributing to debates on stem cells and researcher mobility. Throughout the past 15 years, he has worked for a mixture of private companies, public bodies, investment organisations and associate consultancies, as well as writing and publishing articles and industry reports and planning, chairing or presenting at a wide range of events.

Caroline Lloyd-Evans

Caroline is Chair of CBN (Cambridge Businesswomen's Network) and founder of CLE Consulting & Training. She is BioBridge's HR & Training Director. She is a personal and business coach working with clients including major professional services, colleges, charities, and a range of hi-tech and bio-tech companies in and around Cambridge. She was born in Cambridge and returned there to work in the worlds of both business and therapy in 1986. She has over 20 years' experience of supporting and developing individuals and teams through teaching, counselling and mentoring and has previously built up a successful business in women's clothing by training sales representatives to a peak of 100, with sales of over £1 million.

Gilly Walker

BioBridge Limited is pleased to announce that Gilly Walker has joined the staff, as Office Manager. She will be responsible for day-to-day running of the business as well as specific projects. Gilly's career to date has been with BBC Television in London where she held a variety of roles; the most recent of which was as a Production Manager in the Entertainment department, working on shows such as Parkinson, Top of the Pops and the National Lottery. This role involved organising and managing the production's resources - human, technical and financial. One of Gilly's first projects at BioBridge was to organise the biotechnology round table for Mark Prisk MP, Shadow Minister for Small Business and Enterprise, held at Library House in mid-June. Since January 1st, Meredith Lloyd-Evans of BioBridge has taken on the role of a Knowledge Transfer Manager in the DTI's Bioscience for Business Knowledge Transfer Network. "I'm very pleased that Gilly has joined me at this time, as we foresee a tremendous increase in activity with the KTN, including organising meetings, information campaigns, project consortia and newsletters," says Meredith.
